Dodge A500 40RH ONLY Transmission High Performance Alto Deluxe Rebuild Kit 1988-91 This rebuild kit includes all of the High Performance Red Alto Friction Plates, Kolene Steel Plates, Sealing Rings, Metal Clad Seals, Gaskets, O-rings, Rubber Piston Seals, Bushing Kit, 1.375" Intermediate Band, and Filter This Transmission Kit is one that will only fit the 40RH 1988-91 it will not work in the 42RH, 42RE, or 44RE. These plates are Red Eagle high performance clutch plates. These clutches are put through a process where the friction paper is saturated in a phenolic resin, cured, and then saturated a second time in a silicate. The silicate imparts high heat resistance.
