Hi-Performance Chrysler A500 40RH 1989-ON Rebuild Kit with ALTO Red Eagle Friction Clutches. This rebuild kit includes all of the High Performance Red Alto Friction Plates, Sealing Rings, Metal Clad Seals, Gaskets, Orings & Rubber Piston Seals. This Transmission Kit is one that will only fit the 40RH 1989-ON will not work in the 42RH, 42RE, or 44RE. If you need any of the other transmission kits please see my other listing it will work for all of the A500 variations. These plates are Red Eagle high performance clutch plates. These clutches are put through a process where the friction paper is saturated in a phenolic resin, cured, and then saturated a second time in a silicate. The silicate imparts high heat resistance.
