This transmission is known by multiple names, including Allison 1000, T-1000, LCT-1000, T1000, Allison 2000, T-2000, LCT-2000, T2000, Allison 2400, T-2400, LCT-2400, and T2400.

 

The Allison LCT-1000 transmission was found in the heavier GM, Chevy, and GMC truck models from 2001-up with the 6.6L Duramax diesel or the 8.1L gas engine. These transmissions are also found in the larger Isuzu trucks with the 7.8L Diesel. The T-1000 Allison was in the 8.1L GM trucks as an option. The Allison can be identified by its external fluid filter.
