Chrysler 48RE units often have problems with Reverse operation such as delayed engagement and soft or slipping Reverse. Other concerns may be poor cooler charge at idle and poor line pressure control. These problems can be traced to excess wear at the internal diameter of the line pressure sleeve, which allows pressure loss that hinders line rise. Eliminate sleeve wear and revive line pressure operation by installing Sonnax line pressure plug and sleeve kit 22771A-19K.

Symptoms:

Reverse slip

Poor line pressure control

Poor Forward & Reverse engagement

Poor cooler charge at idle

Soft Reverse

Cause:

Worn line pressure plug and sleeve allows fluid loss that prevents proper line rise.

Correction:

Stop leaks and restore normal line pressure operation by installing Sonnax line pressure plug and sleeve kit.
