Reduce 1st gear ratio by 10%

Reduce 2nd gear by ratio by 5%

This kit will lower your 1st gear ratio to 2.71:1 from your stock 2.46:1. Second gear will be lowered to 1.53:1 from 1.46:1.

C6 Transmissions had helical cut tooth instead of straight tooth this kit will switch to the 4R100 Straight cut

This Low Gear Kit includes the following parts:

• Steel 6 pinion forward planetary
• Torrington bearings for planetary
• Good Used Planetary ring gear bearing type
• Ring gear hub
• Good Used Forward sun gear
• Sun gear shell

• Check and set front endplay during assembly/installation. For all C6 transmissions, the recommended endplay is 0.008"–0.015".
  Tighter clearances can be achieved by using selective pump thrust washers or pump shims.

   

This kit will increase your acceleration and towing capability without changing your rear-end gears. Highway RPM’s will remain the same since 3rd gear is unchanged.
