GM & Chevy Full Size Truck, 2 Wheel Drive and 4 Wheel Drive, 5 Speed Transmission Rebuild Kit for 1995-99. This transmission is known as the 290 Getrag or NV3500. You can identify this transmission by its aluminum case, 3rd design. The transmission uses thin (0.90") input and output bearings, 30mm outside diameter front & rear countershaft journals and (3) piece synchro rings for 1st and 2nd gear. This complete kit includes front and rear main shaft bearings, input pocket bearings, a front counter plug, seals, high quality synchro rings, and a complete small parts kit which includes snap rings, washers etc., PLEASE NOTE: This transmission uses a 3 piece synchro ring for 1st and 2nd gear. The outer rings and the inner rings are NOT included in this kit. This kit only includes the middle fiber lined 1st and 2nd gear rings because they are the only pieces that wear.
