M5R1 M5OD Ford Ranger Bronco 5 Spd Transmission Main Shaft 5th Gear W/Spacer This is a 5th gear for the Ford Ranger Truck 2x2 or 4x4 5 speed manual transmission used during 1987-on. You can identify this transmission by tags on the side that read: "E87A, E97A, FO7A, or F17A". This transmission has an aluminum case and an aluminum top cover. Note this transmission is called the M5R1 or M5OD or Mazda Type. These are quality gears we have been selling to transmission repair shops for years! Be sure to check your input and cluster gear for wear. These gears fail quite often and when not replaced during an overhaul will cause noise.
