Dodge A518 (46RE, 46RH) A618 (47RE, 47RH) Transmission Raybestos Stage 1 Red Gas Performance Deluxe Level 2 Rebuild Kit 1998-02 Note: This kit is for Gas applications; if you have a Diesel vehicle please see our other listing This rebuild kit includes all of the High Performance Raybestos Stage 1 Frictions, Gas Steel Plates, Dacron Filter, Front Band, Pump Bushing, Direct Drum Bushing, Sealing Rings, Metal Clad Seals, Gaskets, O-rings & Rubber Piston Seals + Washer Kit, Torrington Bearing Kit, Overdrive Snap Ring, Superior Front Band Apply Servo, Superior Reverse Servo, 4.2 Ratio Band Lever, Sonnax Accumulator Piston Kit TCS 4.2 Band Ratio Lever- The 4.2 ratio band lever provides greater mechanical clamping force than the O.E.M. 3.8 ratio lever ie: Placing 1 pound of force on the tip of the apply lever produces 4.2 pounds of force on the band. CNC machined from 4140 HTSR for added strength. Torrington Bearing kit - (includes; Roller Clutch output bearing, overdrive clutch piston hub bearing, and backing plate planet bearing) The Bearing kit is a critical part of a thorough rebuild because they are movable parts that take a lot of wear and abuse. All bearings have a reasonable service life of 100,000 to 200,000 miles. Always replace high mileage bearings. Front band Apply Servo (includes the heavy duty band strut)-Super Servo provides the following improvements: 11% more holding power, firmer 1-2 shift, more positive 2-3 shift and is perfect for Heavy-Duty and Performance Applications! Gas Low & Reverse Super Servo- Super Servo will provide a newly designed piston that will not flip or break in the bore. This piston is constructed of 6061-T6 billet aluminum! An upgraded steel servo pin is also included. Sonnax Accumulator Piston Kit- OE plastic accumulators in listed Chrysler units are prone to breaking and have poor sealing qualities, and metal rings offered with aftermarket accumulators also have sealing issues. The improved design and material of Sonnax accumulator piston kit 22841-04K eliminates cross-leaks between circuits. Overdrive direct front waved Snap Ring- This waved overdrive snap ring is a common failure in these Dodges and should be replaced on every rebuild. Overdrive Sprag- This sprag is a another part that should be replaced on every rebuild. Stage-1 About: Raybestos Stage-1 Performance frictions are an affordable solution for performance applications that may not require the capacity of the Gen2 Blue Plate Special, but do require a friction plate that can handle the demands that a stock tan or high energy plate cannot. Stage-1 frictions are not limited to performance, but also enhance heavy duty applications by increasing holding capacity, while being able to withstand higher temperatures associated with towing heavy loads.
